National Irish Bank

The National Irish Bank can trace its origins back to 1809 with the formation of the Northern Banking Partnership in Belfast – later to become known as the Northern Bank in 1924. The National Irish Bank is another member of the ‘Big Four’, it has a large number of banks in towns and cities throughout Ireland offering a wide range of personal and commercial banking services.

Originally the National Irish Bank was the name given to the Northern Bank’s operations in the south of Ireland, in 1986 it was created as its own entity.
